Kelly Brunette For Mayor
Kelly Brunette is a Village Trustee, mom, and longtime community leader who believes local government works best when it listens first, plans carefully, and treats people with respect.
She’s spent years working in and alongside village government — asking hard questions, explaining decisions clearly, and standing up for transparency and fairness.
Kelly lives here. She’s raising her family here. And she’s running for Mayor because she believes Saranac Lake deserves steady, thoughtful leadership — not rushed decisions or surprises.
David Trudeau for Trustee
David Trudeau, a Saranac Lake village resident for 24 years, has volunteered in some capacity for the village for a combined seventeen years with positions on the Zoning Board, Planning Board, and Development Board. He also served on the Saranac Lake Free Library Board and Habitat for Humanity Board as well as a volunteer with building the Adirondack Carousel.
Originally from Ohio, he attended Bowling Green State University, worked in the robotics field and owned a machine shop. After moving to Saranac Lake in 2002, Trudeau received an associate degree from North Country Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Paul Smiths College. He managed Comlinks Neighborhood Revitalization Program for 5 years, bringing energy efficient resources to low-income households in Franklin County. Honeywell International, Inc recruited Trudeau to manage the New York States Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) energy programs across the North Country. In 2018, the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), recruited Trudeau to manage multi-million-dollar renovation projects across all of their venues. He retired from ORDA in 2025 and now is able to enjoy his hobbies of cross-country skiing, hiking (46’er), fishing, and cycling.
David is married to Valerie Trudeau, celebrating their 40th anniversary in May. They raised two children, Katie and Nickie, who benefitted from the schools and sense of community that Saranac Lake offers youth. He strongly believes that Saranac Lake should be where residents should be heard, have input into issues that affect them and are able to thrive.
Jeremy Evans for Trustee
Jeremy Evans and his wife Jenni chose Saranac Lake as the place to raise their family in 2007. What began as a career opportunity quickly became a commitment to community. Today they are raising their three children here, surrounded by the neighbors, schools, traditions, and outdoor life that make Saranac Lake special.
Originally from nearby Peru, Jeremy came to Saranac Lake to serve as the Village’s Community Development Director. In the position, which he held for almost 10 years, Jeremy secured millions in grant funding to support housing, parks, and infrastructure projects and millions more in 0% financing for water and sewer projects. Jeremy’s focus on downtown revitalization helped prepare the Village for its successful DRI award in 2018.
In 2017 he became the Chief Executive Officer of the Franklin County Economic Development Corporation, a move that allowed him to use his expertise to benefit all of Franklin County and gain additional experience, all without having to leave Saranac Lake. He is very grateful that this role has allowed him to use different tools to help businesses, people and communities across Franklin County
Jeremy currently serves on the Harrietstown Council, the Saranac Lake Local Development Corporation, the newly formed Harrietstown Rotary Park Committee, and as an advisor to the Cloudsplitter Foundation. He previously served on the Saranac Lake Central School Board of Education and Pendragon Theatre Board.
Beyond public service Jeremy has stayed active in everyday life in Saranac Lake as a coach, scout leader, ice palace builder, and Saranac Lake Fun Run organizer.
He is chair of the Run for Jon, an annual charitable run in Peru that provides financial help to the families of children with serious medical illness in Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties.
When not at work or cheering on his kids at sporting events, Jeremy enjoys hiking, paddling, jogging, and cross country skiing among the lakes, forests and mountains of the Adirondacks.
